Temple B'nai Jeshurun's SENIOR YOUTH GROUP, DMTYG, is open to all students in grades 9-12.    Programs occur on an average of once a month.   In addition to local DMTYG programs, the youth group has also held events with the youth group of the Ames Jewish Congregation and with USY.  Programs are planned by the youth group Board, and their advisor, Laura Berkson.
The youth group is affiliated with the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) and is part of the NFTY Missouri Valley region.  Members of the youth group who pay NFTY dues are eligible to participate in regional conclaves and the biennial NFTY convention.  DMTYG/NFTY dues are $28 for the year, and include $18 for NFTY.  Students wishing to pay dues for only the local youth group can contribute $15 to DMTYG.  Dues are voluntary, and anyone is welcome to participate in the youth group' programs, regardless of whether he or she pays dues.  Members who pay dues receive discounts at local TYG events.  JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP is open to students in grades 6-8.  Programs are held  every other month, and students in grades 7-8 are eligible to participate in the annual NFTY Missouri Valley JYG conclave.
